Something In The Water Empty Something In The Water

The new Sharkbait Reef by Sea Life attraction opened on 28th March with the rest of Alton Towers for the start of the 2009 season. It has become a huge success, attracting visitors to see its 300+ species of underwater creatures.

Since it's opening last month, the number of residents has been boosted, by a frenzy of mating activity. A total of 60 seahorses and two bamboo sharks have been born at sharkbait reef in the last month, which is unusually high for a new aquarium. This has prompted a new aquatic reproductive expert to be drafted in ahead of the busy bank holiday weekend. The new expert will be available to answer any questions from curious children that may see some of the creatures mating in the tanks.
